What removes oil paint?

not clear...ambiguous

oil used on oil paintings, may come off with paint thinner, turpentine,

acetone, depending on how much paint has hardened, if completely dry, paint over top, if you need to remove, try palette knife, to scrape away if thick, or acetone if urgent, but acetone will destroy canvas and skin if not removed quickly, suggest soaking in paint thinner and turp's mix, and peel away in layers if safety is required,

if not about painting , but on clothing, dab in turpentine, but remove once soluble , and use piantbrush cleaner/ detergent mix, if handy try soaking in glycerine ,
