Hi I have an oil painting that I have just brought is it o.k. to hang it above a radiator? I also sometimes use the radiator to dry wet cloths!Where can i hang an oil painting?
No!.. it can harm it as it is drawn on canvas...somewhere away of heat %26amp; direct sun light would be appropriate.Where can i hang an oil painting?
above a radiator...no. Oil paintings need moisture to keep from cracking.

hang the radiator and put the painting underneath
If its in real oil I would suggest another wall, oil paintings can darken with the heat.
i wouldnt hang it above a radiator, ideally you would put it in a room with the same sort of colour scheme, also you want to consider placement somewhere where it will be noticed i.e a chimny breast or somewhere different we got some paintings on the stairs where the roof comes down so you see them when you go down it looks different everyone says its a gd place, hope this helps
Anywhere that is a proper eyecatcher...i.e. living room, hall from the front door etc...you dont want your picture to melt over the radiatior do you? only joking I have to deal with this thing like everyday....
