How do you keep dust off an oil painting in progress?

when painting with oil dust seems to stick to the wet oil while drying how can i help prevent this? How do you keep dust off an oil painting in progress?
Did you ever notice how artists in the movies always keep their work covered up with another piece of canvas or some kind of drapery? They aren't doing that to keep it hidden. They're doing it to keep the dust off of it. Just cover it up when you're not working. How do you keep dust off an oil painting in progress?
Generally, many painters will have cubbies or racks to put oil paintings on to dry which will keep them from getting smudged and keep particles from getting stuck to the canvas. This was helpful since you could work on many paintings at the same time.

When I was going to college, we art students didn't have much room to have a rack or holder for many paintings, so we faced it against the wall, with another canvas on the wall to protect the wall. This did a good job of keeping the dust off.
i don't know the only real way is to paint the painting upside down so that the dust cant fall but dust become attracted to wet areas phaps try using a more positive medium and a more durable one such as acrylic that has fantastic drying times and is a quality and a benefit to artists in your need of protection to your paintings.
when I have wet paint and am done working I simply adjust the easel so that the painting is slightly upside down. You just need to make sure the canvas restraints are tight so it doesn't fall ;)
