How do I stop getting patchy areas of colour when painting large areas with oil paints?

When I am painting using dark colours in particular, as the paint dries I get patches of dull colour and oily colour. How do I stop this happenig or rectify it when it does happen? How do I stop getting patchy areas of colour when painting large areas with oil paints?
You can use linseed oil as you paint to help mix you paints and make them more spreadable or you can coat your painting with a gloss that is recommended for oil paintings after it has dried. How do I stop getting patchy areas of colour when painting large areas with oil paints?
1. use a high quality paint.

2. good painting medium used evenly

3. use a rre-touch varnish lightly. this will kind of even out the colors
